Basketball Boosters Golf Outing

Chartiers Township Community Day

Festivities start at 2:00 with alumni baseball and softball games.  Rides, games and other activities from 3:00 – 6:00.  No Bad JuJu will perform at 6:30 and Joe Grushecky at 8:00.  Fireworks will follow.  No charge for admission.

Community Day will be held at Arnold Park (next to high school) with the bands performing at the Chartiers-Houston High School stadium.  In the event of rain, the concerts will be held in the high school auditorium.  Any questions, please call 724-745-2208

Winged Science is a class at Upper St. Clair’s Regional Environmental Education Center that studies creatures with the gift of flight. Learn the adaptations birds possess allowing them to fly. Study the distinct markings of insects that allow them to communicate using color. Explore the habits of the only true flying mammal, the bat. Activities include hands-on explorations through the forest, meadow and creek, scientific bird studies, fact vs. fiction and myths and legends all await inquisitive students. Moonstruck: Full Moon Hikes

Time: May 2 and June 1 from 9 - 10 p.m.
Cost: $2 per person (sign up for three in a row and save)
Are you a nocturnal creature? Think your children are? Join the staff of the Regional Environmental Education Center in Upper St. Clair for a moonlit hike through the forests and meadows of Boyce Mayview Park. Hikes will follow the same path each month, allowing night-loving individuals to witness the beauty and changes of nature over the entire year.

Prescription Center Plus/St. Thomas More 5K Run & 2 Mile Walk

Country Garden Day, Lunch and Tea

The Hickory UP Church will be hosting a Country Garden Day, Lunch and Tea on Saturday, May 19 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the church’s Covenant Center. The plant sale will include bedding annuals, hanging baskets and perennials as well as gardening accessories. Demonstrations and displays include organic gardening, living wreaths, invasive plants, trellises, composting, wildlife habitat, pruning topiary, lasagna gardening, bluebirds, pollinating insects and more. The 7th Annual Joshua House Golf Outing will be held on Monday, June 18 at St. Clair Country Club. The event kicks off with registration at 11 a.m followed by lunch. Shotgun start is at 12:30 p.m. Format is play your own ball or scramble Dinner begins at 6 p.m. followed by the awards presentation and auction/raffle. Cost for an individual is $225 which includes lunch, dinner, and snacks on the course.

St. Clair Golf Classic and Gala

St. Clair Hospital’s 10th Annual Golf Classic and Gala is scheduled for Sunday, July 1 at the Hilton Garden Inn, Southpointe, and Monday, July 2 at St. Clair Country Club. All proceeds benefit St. Clair Hospital’s Emergency Department expansion project.

A silent auction, dinner, and entertainment will kick off the event at 5 p.m. on Sunday. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. and musical entertainment will be provided by Gary Racan and the Studio-E band. Cost to attend the silent auction, dinner and entertainment is $125 per person.

Shotgun starts will kick off golf at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Monday. The day includes a continental breakfast, buffet lunch, buffet dinner, and awards program

The cost for individual golfers is $650, which includes two Sunday dinner tickets. The cost for a golf foursome is $2,600, which includes eight Sunday dinner tickets. Sponsorship opportunities are available. Call 412-942-4000, ext. 2465 for more information
